DENTAL ASSISTANT
Duties and
responsibilities: The Dental Assisting program is designed to provide graduates with the
skills and knowledge necessary to qualify for an entry-level position as a
Dental Assistant. Emphasis is placed on the Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)
practical and written examinations, which you are encouraged to sit for once
you have successfully completed the program.
Salary: at

procedures.
Education: Once you've worked as a dental assistant for a while, you

Demand or need for this profession: The
pay scale for dental assistants ranges from about $24,580 to $49,540. In 2014,
the average pay for dental assistants was $36,260, and the median pay was
$35,390. Those with the highest salaries live in the metropolitan areas of
Manchester, New Hampshire; Rochester.
